Regular X 002

"Gravity" is another unusual crossword from the Gridless team.

Think of this grid as a deep hole into which your answers will fall.

The answers to each of the clues should first be "mentally" entered into the top row starting in the column that corresponds with the clue number. Then, as if affected by gravity, each letter should then be dropped to the lowest available blank space of its respective column. The hole will gradually fill with letters.

If clue answers are entered into the grid in their given order, theme words will appear in four of the rows or columns. Guess these theme words and you'll have letters to help you answer the clues, making this precipitous puzzle much more fathomable!

This REGULAR X is rated: CHALLENGING!

The Gridless Team present a new tricky Cross-stitch puzzle for your enjoyment, "Mind your language!". It'll have you cursing out of frustration!

Answer the clues then transfer the individual letters into the grid according to the alpha-numerical references. You will reveal a quotation! The first letters of your answers will also spell out the author's name and the title of the work from which the quotation has been sourced.

Some work back and forth between the clues and the grid may be necessary. And remember, Cross-Stitch puzzles have an added intrigue: follow the maze of arrows to reveal a further related secret message.
